Valentine Fun Day

Wednesday the 14^thFebruary saw another great club event when we had a fun day with optional fancy dress. About a third of the participants entered into the spirit of the day, most wearing something red, Norma with big red hearts on her cheeks and David almost wearing his heart on his sleeve. For his efforts, he deservedly won the Best Costume prize of a bottle of wine.

The day was originally going to be a "Pairs" day but too many people turned up and after much thinking by the organisers, it turned into a "Trips" & "Pairs" day, rinks 1 to 4 being "Rinks" of four couples and rinks 5 to 8 were triples.

This was to be the first real test for the new clubhouse and thanks to Dot, Trish and all the other helpers who served the drinks and food, it was deemed a great success for the club coffers.

The competitions were a combination of round-robin, games and points, the team with the highest points in each category would be the winners. Prizes were awarded for the best costume, the winning triple and the winning rink (comprised of two couples), see below for the prize winners.
